Laura Wilder Howard was the sister of Almanzo Wilder.

Almanzo was the husband of Laura Ingalls Wilder, who wrote the "Little House on the Prairie" books.

NOTE: Almanzo's sister Laura was never mentioned in the books as to not confuse the readers with his wife Laura.

"She was actually the second daughter born to Angelina and James Wilder. Laura Ann, the oldest, was married during the Farmer Boy period. She later was divorced and came home but then moved to De Smet where she sewed with Laura Ingalls as a dressmaker assistant."
