Wife of Frederick P. Bierer
Pauline Bierer, 65, of 2039 Pine St. in Murphysboro, died Thursday, March 12, 1981, at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Murphysboro.
She was a member of St. Joseph Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and was a member of the First Christian Church in Murphysboro.
She was born in Carbondale on July 10, 1915, to Roy W. and Agnes Gentry Gower. She married Fred P. Bierer in Bardwell, Ky., on Nov. 29, 1936.
Survivors include her husband of Murphysboro: two sons, Fred G. Bie rer of Murphysboro, Robert W. Bierer of Rock Springs, Wyo.; two daughters, Marilyn Sue Wolfe of Carl Junction, Mo., and Joanne Hinkle of Lake City, Fla.; one sister, Velma Miles of El Paso, Texas; and nine grandchildren.
One brother and one sister preceded her in death.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Crawshaw Mortuary Chapel in Murphysboro, with burial in the City Cemetery in Murphysboro. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Saturday at the Crawshaw Chapel.
Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church or the American Cancer Society.
