Wife to Anna Maria Lathrop. He was the 3rd child of Solomon Babb and Abigail Louise Meader. Dr. Timothy Babb, died of consumption, contracted while serving as assistant surgeon of the 47th Reg. Ill, Inf. during the Civil War. He first served Aug 14, 1861 to Oct 2, 1861 in the 8th Ill Regiment. He was Resigned Aug 13,1863 to the 47th Illinois.
