Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2pm in the Fairfield Chapel for Cecilia Catherine Downer, 67 of 833 Third Street, who died yesterday after a long illness.
The Rev. Dr. George Gooderham, Rector of Grace Episcopal Church, will officiate. Interment will be at the Rockville Cemetery following the service.
Mrs. Downer, a native of Ladd, Ill., is survived by her husband, Simon (Tom), and six children, Ezra Downer of Fairfield, Catherine Downer of Fairfield, Mrs. Walter Wright (Viva) of Fairfield, Mrs. Dennis Chaney (Virginia) of Suisun, Mrs. Glen Burdick (Enola) of Sunny Mead Calif., and Mrs. Jack Young (Frances) of Amarillo, Texas.
She has the following brothers and sisters: Frank Cavanaugh of Mulberry, Kansas, Mrs. Rachial Johnson of Detroit, Mich, and Josephine Cavanaugh of Mulberry, Kansas, and Mrs. Alfred Hammerton of Pittsburg, Kansas.
