He was born Nov. 16, 1934, in Denver. He attended New Mexico University. He married Joann Rummell, who preceded him in death. He worked for EG&G Rocky Flats Inc. for 25 years. He was a member of Western Inteior Paleontological Society,Colorado Springs Mineralogical Society, El Jebel Shrine, Knights Templar, North Jeffco Gem and Mineral Club, Mile Hi Rock and Mineral Club,Littleton Gem and Mineral Club, Cryptic Masons, South Denver Lodge 93 AF&AM. Antique Auto Patrol, AAONMS of Denver, Friends of Mineralogy, and Friends of Dinosaur Ridge.
He is survived by his daughter, Janet Carlson, Broomfield; a sister, Donna Parks, Thornton; and two grandchildren.
