Edris "Olene" Davis was born July 7, 1924 in a log cabin in Oakley , Tenn. to James Henley Davis and Sarah Ellen Cherry. She passed away Oct. 11, 2001 at the age of 77 in Sayre, Oklahoma .
In 1926 she came with her parents and siblings to Jenson , Arkansas. A couple of years later they moved to Kully Chaha , LeFlore County Oklahoma.
She met and married Archie Ceaser Chapmond in 1940 and had 4 children, Wayne LeRoy, Eunice Faye, Archie Leon and Lois Olene
Chapmond.
Proceeded in death by her parents, husband ,4 sisters, 4 brothers and a son, Archie Leon Chapmond Sr.
Survived by Wayne & Barbara Chapmond, San Antonio Texas , Eunice & Jerry Kilgore, Sayre Ok., and Lois & Michael Bess Sr., Spiro Ok..
Brothers...... Lester L. Davis, Wooster,Ohio. Buddy Ray Davis- Harris, Antlers, Ok. ,Veachel , Leonard ,and Damon Davis of Poteau, Ok.
Sisters...... May Inez Eccles of Atwood , Calif. , Reba Stansberry of Oklahoma City, Ok. and Fay Jackson, of Sardis, Ok.
Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren , great-great grandchildren , nieces , nephews and a host of friends.
Olene enjoyed fishing, traveling , crafts , gardening and spending time with family. She has made Sayre her home for the last several years
