Mary was the youngest child of John and Anna (Doucette) Comerford. She was either born in Canada in 1892 or as family stories go she was the only child(of this family) born in the US in 1897. She spent her early years in Chippewa Falls. She was a stenographer in Milwaukee when she married Newell Hunt in 1917. Robert Hunt was their first child and then had five more children: Patricia Hunt Werlein, Miriam Hunt Robertson, Joanne Hunt Fesenmaier, James Hunt and Judy Hunt La Belle. Mary and Newell spent happy years at their home on Lake Wissota. They spent their final years at the Eau Claire Manor Rest Home in Eau Claire.
