AUBRY C. APPLEGATE

VANCEBURG, Ky.-Aubry C. Applegate, 57, of Vanceburg Rt. 2, died at 3 a.m. today at the residence.
Applegate had been ill 10 days. He was a construction worker and a trucker.
Born in Poplar Flats in Lewis County, Feb. 27, 1905, he was a son of Jacob and Frances Ruggles Applegate.
Surviving are his wife, Beulah Polley Applegate; two sons, Aubry Jr. of Garrison and Tarry, at home; a daughter, Ines, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Lena Stafford of Chillicothe and Mrs. Ida McClurg of South Portsmouth; four brothers, Elmo and Ralph Applegate, both of Vanceburg Rt. 5, Edgar of Vanceburg and Byron of Sandy Springs, Ohio, and a grandchild.
a 32nd-Degree Mason, Applegate was a member of St. Mary's Lodge in Concord.
Funeral services are to be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Muses Chapel Church on Quicks Run. Rev. Don Hamilton is to officiate, with burial in the church cemetery under direction of Dickerson Funeral Home of Vanceburg.
Masonic rites are to be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home where friends may call after 6 tonight.
