Robin Elizabeth Hoffman, age 52 of New Milford, died December 10, 2007, after her courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family. She was the loving wife of Richard Hoffman. Mrs. Hoffman was born May 19, 1955 in Stamford, CT a daughter of Anne Cornwell of Woodbury , CT and the late Robert Chester Cornwell. She was a 1973 graduate of New Milford High School and attended Mattuck Community College . Mrs. Hoffman was employed for 20 years by Dr. Paul Krieger, OBGYN New Milford and for two years by Pediatric Associates of Western Connecticut in Danbury. Robin was an incredible woman who taught all who knew her lessons in strength. She dedicated her life to her family and her home. In addition to her mother and loving husband of 32 years, Mrs. Hoffman was the devoted mother of Matthew and Ryan Hoffman of New Milford. She is also survived by three brothers, Roger Cornwell and his wife Elsa of Woodbury, Timothy Cornwell and his wife Barbara of Bristol, and Paul Cornwell and his wife Kathy of Southington; three sisters, Judith Key and her husband Luis of Mobile, Ala.; Mary Sommerville of Plantsville, and Lois Usher and her husband Jo of Mountain Top, Pa.; mother and father-in-law, Richard and Esther Hoffman of Ocala, FL; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jim and Sharon Huston of Ocala, Fla., and Scott and Sue Onorato of Ocala, Fla.; nine nephews, Kevin Cornwell, Jonathan Cornwell, Gregory and Thomas Sommerville, John Ryerson, Jamie, Micah(Mara), Daniel Huston and Corey Onorato and 10 nieces, Katherine and Emily Cornwell, Lauren, Leslie and Lindsay Usher, Kasey Cornwell, Anita, Louisa and Selena Key and Corin Onorato. Great nephews James A. Huston and Cody Toilfel and great niece Brianna White. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated in St. Francis Xavier Church, New Milford on Thursday December 13, 2007 at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery , Stamford. Family will receive friends in the Colonial Funeral Home 87 Park Lane RD, New Milford, on Wednesday evening December 12, 2007 from 6 until 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the New Milford Hospital Oncology Department 21 Elm Street, New Milford , CT 06776. A special thank you to Dr Howard and the nurses of the Oncology Department and Kathy Leier of Hospice.
