Chester E. Allen, 71, of Jacksonville, Florida, formerly of Clinton. He was born in Clinton, son of the late William N. and Annie (Chapin) Allen and had lived in Jacksonville for 20 years. He had been a salesman with the Daley Moccasin Company of New York.
He leaves five sisters, Mrs. Harriet Northridge of Auburn, Mrs. Ethel Crosby of New Haven, Mrs. Lillian Meek, Mrs. Mabel A. Pike and Mrs. Florence Munroe of Worcester, Mass.
Cremation was in Jacksonville and committal services will be held at Eastwood Cemetery, Lancaster, Mass. Rev. Gordon M. Torgersen of First Baptist Church will officiate.
