Mrs. Ruth Naomi Anders, 78, of Frederick, passed away at home in Hanover, Pa., on Jan. 20, 2008, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late William A. Anders, who passed in 1983.
Born Jan. 19, 1930 in Middleburg, she was the daughter of the late Earcy U. and Hilda I. Kline. She is survived by her brothers, Paul Kline and wife, Mary, Charles Kline and wife, Bev, Edgar "Butch" Kline and wife, Bonnie; her sister, Faye Oden; her sons, Charles Anders and fiancŽe, Carol Drolsum, Michael Anders and wife, Elizabeth; her daughters, Orpha Rice, and Jennifer Walter and husband, Joe; her eleven grandchildren, Linda Babco, Earl Anders Jr., James Anders, Becky Wilkerson, Bryan Anders, Zachary Anders, Virginia Anders, Melissa Ricci, Bruce Rice, David Rider, and Raymond Walter; and five great-grandchildren, Kayla Weedon, Davon Anders, Brittany Anders, Madison Watson, and Cinnamon Ricci.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 21 and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 22 at the Chapel Mausoleum of Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 U.S. Route 15 N. in Frederick, where funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Suzanne Morris will officiate. Floral tributes are welcome, or, in lieu of flowers, donations in Ruth's name may be made to St. John's United Church of Christ, 8 N. 2nd St. Woodsboro, MD 21798 or to the American Cancer Society, 800-227-2345 or www.cancer.org.
