Butler Tracy Hall (1924-2009)

Mr. Butler Tracy Hall, 84, of South Shore, Ky., went to be with his Lord on Monday, Feb. 16, 2009, in Kingsbrook Lifecare Center in Ashland, Ky.

He was born Nov. 10, 1924, in Floyd County, Ky., a son of the late Millard Hall and Hazel Frasure Hall.

He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran, a member of South Shore First Christian Church and a retired employee of CSX Railroad.

Also preceding him in death were his first wife, Edna McBrayer Hall, in August 1992; a son, Gail Hall; a stepson, Robert Grizzel; three brothers, Ray Hall, John B. Hall and Carl Hall; and two sisters, Lovell Hall and Olive Hall.

Surviving are his wife, Sybil Nickel Hall of South Shore; a daughter, Tonda Browning of Russell, Ky.; three stepdaughters, Teresa Arnett of Fairborn, Ohio, and Patty Cooper and Lori Bentley, both of South Shore; three stepsons, Dan Bentley and Sam Bentley, both of South Shore, and Glenn Bentley of South Bloomfield, Ohio; a brother, Gaylord Hall of Greenup, Ky.; three sisters, Edna Hall of South Shore, Jewel Fritz of Ashland and Deanie Lynsky of Lexington, Ky.; a grandson; 15 stepgrandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, 2009, at Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore with William Hayden and Dan Bentley officiating. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods, Ky.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Military graveside services will be by James L. Flannery American Legion Post 276 of South Shore.
