Jonathan C. Amen May 18, 1936 - November 5, 2003 Passed away peacefully with family at his home in Antioch at the age of 67. Born in Des Moines, Iowa. He attended Mason City Schools and Wentworth Military Academy. While in the Army, Jon attended Monterey Language School and became a Korean linguist before serving in Korea. Jon moved to Fallbrook, CA where he attended Redlands College. In 1963 he moved to N. CA where he married Glenda Veeder. Jon worked in retail sales for Montgomery Wards and Breuners until his early retirement due to heart disease in 1983. He was a founding member of Delta Kiwanis of Antioch and president from 1979-1980. His hobbies were gold panning, sailing, chatting on the computer, genealogy and spending time with his family and friends. Jon attended Golden Hills Community Church. Preceded in death by parents, Curtis and Adelaide Amen. Survived by wife Glenda Amen, daughters Edi and Martha Amen of Antioch, granddaughters Amber and Jessica Sciortino and Emily Amen of Antioch, sister Jody McClain of Antioch and brothers Monte McClain of S. CA and Terry McClain of AZ. No Services. Cremation handled by Neptune Society. Memorial donations may be made to The American Heart Association, Sutter VNA Hospice or the Church/ Charity of your choice.
