In accordance with her wishes, there will be no services for Thelma Helene Burlew, 77, of Sequim. Cremation was under the direction of Bleitz Funeral Home in Seattle. Mrs. Burlew died Thursday in the Dominion Health center, Sequim.
She was born Oct. 17, 1904, in Tacoma to John and Jeanette Elder. She attended Seattle Pacific University, Eastern Washington University and Western Washington University. She taught school in Washington for 22 years.
She married Herbert Burlew in 1927. They farmed in Benton County until 1962, when they moved to Reedsport, Ore. They came to Sequim in 1964.
Survivors are her husband and one sister, Dorris Levesque of Longview.
