Imelda "Mel" Donigan, age 64, wife and best friend of Patrick Donigan passed away on January 6, 2012.
Mel is also survived by a son, David Galaviz and two daughters, Denise Rogers and Deanna Sentz. Imelda was the ultimate grandmother to eight grandchildren, Justin Morin, Troy Rogers, Jake Pozun, Chris Rogers, Dominic Galaviz, Kirsten Galaviz, Keira Sentz and Madison Sentz. Mel is also survived by one brother, Herald Gallegos, three sisters, Dorothy Stone, Annadine González and Benita Gallegos-Ambriz. Mel will also be missed by her best friend and classmate, Cathy Zubia.
Mel was preceded in death by her parents, Bennie and Nina Gallegos.
A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at Daniels Family Funeral Services Coal Ave. Chapel, 1100 Coal Ave. SE, Albuquerque, NM. Mass will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna Rd. NW, Albuquerque, NM. Interment will follow at Santa Fé National Cemetery, Santa Fé, NM at 2:15 p.m.
