Mrs. Josephine Stanton, 56, of 110 East Main St., died Thursday at her home after several months illness. The deceased was born at Vails Gate on June 27, 1888, the daughter of Charles and Mary Jane Odell Yerks.
She is survived by her husband John H. Stanton Sr. of North Port Veterans Hopsital, L.I. where he has been a patient for 23 years; two sons, Lewis, Beacon; John H. Stanton in service at Myrtle Beach, S.C.; two brothers, Charles Yerks, Beacon, Frank Yerks, Poughkeepsie, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services iwll be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. from the Hignell Funeral Home. The Rev. Howard McKinley will officiate. Interment will be in the family plot of the Fairview Cemetery.
