Rothwell Wright Alverson died at the Haas Nursing Home in Boonville. He was born Sept. 23, 1872 in Chariton County. On Aug. 1, 1900, he married Miss Louanna Belle Potter, who preceded him in death. He spent most of his life in the Peninsula community and was a member of the Baptist church. He was survived by two sons, three daughters, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. December 21st at the Hays and Painter Funeral chapel in Pilot Grove. The Rev. P. L. Allen officiated. Pallbearers were Homer Powers, Raymond Dorflinger, Joe Rybak, Warner Heim, Wilbur Rothgeb, and Charles Pyatt.
