HODGES, Daniel Owen Jr., 71, of Penhook, passed away Monday, March 24, 1997. Born February 26, 1926 he was a son of the late Daniel Owen and Annie Mae Adkins Hodges. He was a veteran of World War II. Preceded in death by a son, Michael Daniel Hodges, he is survived by one daughter, Phyllis Rebecca Hodges Cole of Marietta, Ga.; one sister, Elizabeth H. Amos of Callands; two half sisters, Patricia Love of Richmond, Pauline Hodges Walker of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.; one half brother, Riley Hodges of Glade Hill; one grandson, William Michael Collins of Marietta, Ga. Graveside services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, 1997 at the Adkins Family Cemetery, Penhook with the Rev. Belle Robertson officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home Wednesday. Arrangements by Lynch Funeral Home, Rocky Mount.
