Betty B. Valentine, 76 of Portsmouth, died Sunday,
June 11,1995, at home.
Born July 11, 1918, in Magoffin County, Ky; a daughter of the late Seles Blanton and Susie LeMaster Blanton; she was of the Baptist faith.
Preceded in death Jan.27,1987, by her husband, John Henry Valentine, whom she married Nov.1,1944, in Greenup, Ky; she is survived by four sons, Johnny Valentine of Centerville, Bill Valentine of Monroe, Mich,Harold Valentine of Wheelersburg and James Valentine of Portsmouth; two brothers, Paul Blanton and Walter Blanton, both of Lucasville; two sisters, Eva Bays and Irene Ost, both of Franklin Furance; 14 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Mack Blanton; and a sister Rose Spradlin.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Harrison Funeral Home
in Wheelersburg, with Rev. Ronnie Blevins, and interment in Junior Furance Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
