Phineas P. Peck married Sophia (Sloan) April 15, 1858 in McDonough County, IL. They had five children children, Cassius, Mary Ruth, Edward J., Elmer and Emma Peck. After Sophia died Phineas married Lucinda J. "Lucy" (Carter) in Henderson County IL on February 8, 1865. In the 1900 census it states Lucy had 8 children with 6 living. I believe the names of six of these children were: Edward P., James, Rosamond, Martha, John and Ora.
He was living in Iowa in 1870 and Oregon in 1880. He lived in Cowlitz county for about 11 years before he died. There isn't a stone on his grave but there is a stone for his wife, Lucy.
