Burd on Feb. 25, 1883. In 1887 they moved to Saginaw Co. near Laporte where they lived for twenty years, then coming to Clare where they have since resided. In early youth she gave her heart to God and joined with the United Brethern to which she was a member until coming to Laporte, when she united with the Methodist Church of which she has been a faithful member. She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, two daughters, five grandchildren, one great grand child, one brother and sister and a host of other relatives and friends.

Some weeks ago sister Burd was taken sick with a lameness which, at the time was not considered serious, but gradually developed into critical complications and although close medical and surgical care, with good nursing was given, after intense suffering the end came Wednesday about noon.
