Kenneth Paul Akins, Sr. age 91 of East Point, GA passed away on Sunday, September, 28, 2008.
He was a WWII Veteran, T. Sgt Army Signal Corps, retired with over 40 years service with Western Union and an elder and bible school teacher at East Point Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth.
Survivors are his sons, Ken (Lynn) Akins of Lilburn, GA., Tom (Linda) Akins of Tyrone, GA; grandsons, Jeff, Matt, Aaron, Adam and Steven; great-grandchildren, Joseph, Alyssa and Caleb.
Funeral service was held at East Point Christian Church. Interment followed in Kennasaw Memorial Park Cemetery, Marietta, GA. Dr. Hoyt Johnson and Ralph Warren officiating.
