SMITHVILLE- Mrs. Florence E. Smith, widow of Walter R. Smith, West Arlington, Vt. formerly of Smithville, died Sunday at her home in
West Arlington. The funeral will be Wednesday at 9 a.m., at the
Hanson-Wallbridge funeral home, Arlington, Rev. John Greed, pastor of the Federated church, officiating. Burial will be in Smithville cemetery. Mrs. Smith is survived by a son, Raymond, who has recently
returned from Vietnam and is a chief warrant officer in the army air force, and a brother, Elon Pope, Adams. Born in 1901 in Smithville,
she moved to Arlington, Vt., in 1932, with her husband. Mr. Smith died in 1953. She was a 1926 graduate of Potsdam State Normal school, and had taught 27 years in Schenectady in the Sandgate-Shaftsbury school district.
