Mr. Lawson would have been fifty-one years old on June fifteenth of this year. He was a native of Stokes County, North Carolina and came to Ivanhoe about twenty-three years ago in very moderate circumstances. In the course of years, he has developed a paying business and leaves considerable money.
He is survived by his wife and six children as follows: Mrs. C. R. Huddle of Ivanhoe; Misses Ellen and Inez Lawson of Ivanhoe; Walter Lawson and J. C. Lawson, Jr. of Ivanhoe; Mrs. L. B. Hurd of Pulaski. He is also survived by a sister and four brothers who are not residents of this section.
