Mary Jane Bolyard, 94 of Yorks Run Road, Newburg, passed away Friday, May 10, 2013 at UHC in Clarksburg with family by her side.

She was born July 25, 1918 in Denver, daughter of the late Henry and Nevada Taylor Owens.

Mary was a member of the Chestnut Ridge United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School Class for many years, and she was still teaching at age 93.

She was an avid homemaker, loving mother and grandmother.

Mary is survived by two daughters, Carole Squires and husband Don, Darlene Murray and husband Freeman all of Yorks Run Road, six grandchildren, Allen Bolyard and wife Carmel, Gregg Murray and wife Donna, Doug Bolyard, Jeff Squires and Becky Cain, Kim Plum and husband Tim, and Jennifer Biller and husband Chad; nine great-grandchildren, Curt, Jamie, Jessica, Kristy, Katie, Jeremy, Sabra, Mariah and Parker; four great-great grandchildren, Zoey, Riley, Teddy and Collin; three sisters, Shirley Harris of Tunnelton, Naomi Pifer of Kingwood and Norma Buseman of Morgantown; six brothers, Daniel Owens, Newburg, James Owens, Tunnelton, Fred Owens and Sandy, Fairmont, Randy Owens and Paulette, Thornton, Thomas Owens and Erma, Thornton and Leo Owens , Kingwood; several nieces, nephews and a special friend of the family, Randy Spangler.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, James W Bolyard; one son, Lewis Bolyard and wife Jeanette, one granddaughter, Stephanie Murray, one sister Marquerite Shaver, two brothers, Calvin Owens and Glenn Owens.

Family and friends will be received at Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown Ave, Newburg, WV, from 4 - 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, May 15, 2013, and from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2013 with the Rev. Jerome Lewis officiating.

Interment will follow at Blackwood Cemetery.
