Martha A. Beaty, 70, of Sparta, passed away Jan. 13, 2002, at White County Community Hospital.
Beaty was born Nov. 12, 1931, in Tennessee, to Frank VanWinkle and Lillie Lawson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters; and four brothers.
Services were held at 11 a.m., Jan. 16, 2002, at the chapel of Thurman Funeral Home with burial in Thomas Springs Cemetery. Bro. Dennis Cleek officiated.
Thurman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
