Beautiful Ashlynn "Rosie" Hauser, age 8, of Mountain View Road, Appomattox, Va., earned her "Golden Angel Wings" Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011, at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York with her Mom and Dad and family by her side.
Born in Hope Valley, R.I., on July 17, 2003, she's the loving daughter of George and Danielle (Howard) Hauser.
Ashlynn was a very special girl who taught so much to so many in her short time here with us. Those who knew her were blessed.
Rosie was a student at the Appomattox Elementary School. She loved crafts, dancing, singing, and playing the piano, harmonica and her guitar.
Rosie was full of life, she was brave and strong, enjoyed life to its fullest playing with her brothers and sisters or alone for hours. She always had a bright smile.
Besides her parents, she will be sadly missed by her siblings, George Jr., Ericha, Cory and Elizabeth; her maternal grandparents, Richard and Virginia Howard, of Ashaway; her paternal grandparents, Lois Johnson, of Appomattox, and George Hauser, of Redhouse, Va. Ashlynn also has several aunts and uncles, cousins and a large extended family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend services for Ashlynn as follows: calling hours today, Dec. 30, 2011, from 5 to 8 p.m. and funeral services Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011, at 11 a.m. in the S. R. Avery Funeral Home, 3A Bank St., Hope Valley. Burial will follow in Wood River Cemetery, Richmond.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions will be accepted for the family payable to Danielle Howard, c/o Washington Trust Company, P.O. Box 96, Richmond, RI 02898.
The family requests no black to be worn. Rosie's favorite color was pink, and the family requests that everyone who attends wear something pink in her honor.
