Caldona Fields married Harold Achten Jr. on June 21, 1947. Together they had four children: Linda Steinbrink (Alan), Roberta (Bobbie Ann) Tonsfelt, Frederick (Freddie), and Phillip (Cheryl). Linda has two daughters and two grandchildren. Bobbie has two sons and two grandchildren. Phil has two sons.

Their son Frederick (Freddie) Thomas Achten died in 1972 as a result of an automobile accident.

Callie is the daughter of Thomas Jefferson and Alta Barlow Hutchison Fields. Her siblings are Roy, Sam, Desmond, Billy Joe, Winona, Ruby, Thelma, Dollie and Denver Lee.

She is my mother Dollie's sister... and she was a very special Auntie...
