A former Clinton resident, he had been living in Weatherford at the time of his death. Funeral services were in the Westside Pentecostal Church in Clinton with Roy Jones and the Rev. Roger Comstock officiating. He was the son of Raymond and Betty (Miller) Adams. He had attended Clinton schools and and worked as a handy man and farm laborer until becoming disabled in his mid 20s. He enjoyed playing dominoes and pool as well as fishing and hunting. He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Freda.
