Stephen Levon Parrish was born March 6, 1941 in Washington D.C. , the son of Wilbur E. and Ruby Estelle (Ray) Parrish. He died September 19, 2000 in Jerusalem, Israel, of a heart attack and was buried in Powder Springs, Georgia.
He attended Broken Arrow Oklahoma schools all twelve years, graduating with the class of 1959. In high school he played trombone in the band and was active in drama club, debate, and speech. He was in Explorer Scouts and served as Master Councilor of the Broken Arrow DeMolays.
After high school he attended Oklahoma State University and Tulsa University. He served four years in the U.S. Navy. His career was varied, including construction engineering, ten years as a union organizer, a home builder in Broken Arrow, and seven years as project manager for military construction for the U.S. Corps of Engineers. He ended his U.S. government career with the Federal Aviation Administration in Cobb county, Georgia.
Survivors include his wife, Donna J (Cameron) Summerhill Parrish, and his children - Shelly and Gabriel.

Funeral services for Stephen Parrish, 59, of Powder Springs, Ga. will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home in Marietta, Ga. The Rev. Jeff Stone will officiate and private interment services will be held.
Parrish died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2000.
Parrish was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was a retired facilities manager at the National Weather Service.
He was a member of the Hollydale United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Parrish of Powder Springs; a son, Gabriel Parrish of Powder Springs; a daughter, Shelly Early of Locust, N.C.; a sister, Ann Perry of Estes Park, Colo; and two grandchildren.
West Cobb Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
