WORCESTER Margaret Deignan, 103, formerly of 52 Country Club Blvd., passed away at the Lutheran Home of Worcester, Sept. 9, 2007. She was born in Drumshanbo, Co. Leitriune, Eire. Her parents were Michael and Mary (Fitzpatrick) Deignan. She has been a resident of Worcester since 1920. She retired from U.S. Envelope Co. where she had worked for many years. She is predeceased by her sisters, Mary Slattery and Ellen Deignan and her brothers, John, James, and William. She leaves many nieces and nephews including John & Phyllis Slattery and her much-loved grandniece Kathleen Allard of Hong Kong. She was a resident of the Lutheran Home for several years where she received loving care from all the staff. The family wishes to thank Dr. Mary Hawthorne for her kind care. Margaret was a sweet-natured person who was liked by all who came to know her in her long life. She will be missed.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 12. Calling hours will be at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. The Funeral Mass will be at St. Bernard's Church, 228 Lincoln St. at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
