CANDOR - Doris L. Austin, 78, of Candor died at her home on Wednesday, Sept. 13.

She was born in Syracuse, N.Y. July 16, 1917, the daughter of Carl and Maude (Thompson) Ellison.

She was a member of the Willseyville Community Baptist Church and had taught as an elementary school teacher for the Candor Elementary School District.

She is survived by two daughters, Gail Austin-Maureen of Rochester, N.Y., Sandra Walker of Atlanta, Ga.; ten grandchildren, Deanna, Michael, Steven, Rachel, Matthew Kowalski, Kristin Hiner, Jennifer Chapman-Maureen, Shawn, Kimberly & Tiffany Walker; ten brothers and sisters; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 16 at the Willseyville Community Baptist Church, Willseyville, N.Y., with the Rev. Lee Mead officiating. Interment was in Smith Valley Cemetery, Candor, N.Y.
