Margaret Mae Regan Andrist was born February 6, 1880 in County Cork, Ireland to Timothy and Margaret Regan. The family immigrated to America. On May 21, 1900 she married Frank Andrist in Crookston, Polk County, Minnesota.
The couple had 6 daughters: Margaret Frances in 1901, Mary Elma in 1902, Helen Cecelia in 1904, Catherine Lillian in 1906, Frances Margaret in 1911, Dorothea Leona in 1913.
Margaret and her family lived in Bismarck, North Dakota and later moved to Seattle, Washington. Her husband was a tombstone carver and engraver in North Dakota.
Margaret died at the home of her daughter, Catherine, Mrs. Ray LaVelle in Hopkins, Minnesota.
Survivors are her daughters, Mary (Hendrickson) , Helen (Andrus) and Catherine (LaVelle). She had 18 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.
Requiem Mass was celebrated Saturday at 9 AM at Holy Rosary Church, interment in Calvery Cemetery, Seattle, Washington next to her husband.
