Sharkey, a truck driver for The Attala Company, died Feb. 26, 1991, at Montfort Jones Memorial Hospital.
He was a native of Attala County, MS; and a member of the Church of God in Christ.
He is survived by two brothers, Howard Sharkey and Joe Sharkey of Kosciusko, MS.
