Olan E. Bidlack, 84, of Oakwood, died 10:40 p.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center. He was born April 18, 1927 in Defiance to the late Orange and Elsie (Matson) Bidlack. He married Oleta Enders, and they later divorced. She survives in Toledo.
He is also survived by his children: David (Sharon) Bidlack, Sr. of Cecil, Rick Bidlack of Defiance, Pam (Jerry) Bronner of Deltona, Fla., and Terry (Karen) Bidlack of Oakwood; a sister, Esther Linebrink of Defiance; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were 2 sons, Michael, and Randy Bidlack.
Olan was an operator at Johns Manville, Defiance and a farmer. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII and a member of Continental American Legion Post #541 and the Defiance Eagles.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 23, 2011 at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Oakwood. Burial will follow in Prairie Chapel Cemetery, Oakwood with military rites by the Continental American Legion.
