R.A. Baker of Dallas, formerly of the Union Community in Jones County was killed when a truck he was driving overturned on the highway six miles out of Dallas. Services were held in the Anson Baptist Church. Survived by his wife; two children; his mother - Mrs. A.J. Baker; four brothers - Ben, Jordan, Willie, and Howard Baker; two sisters - Mrs. Charlie Scott and Mrs. T.C. McClellan. Mr. Baker married Miss Dahlia Watts in 1915 in Anson. Two children were born into this union. He lived for 18 years near Anson.
