Eva Niemi, 84, of Virginia, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2009, at her residence in Virginia.
Eva was born March 20, 1925, to Lorenz and Luise Wabiszewski Muller in Berlin, Germany, where she was raised and attended school. She married Arthur Niemi on Oct. 3, 1952, in Berlin, Germany. They lived in Embarrass and she was a nurse's aide at the Ely Hospital for 11 years. Eva enjoyed sewing, knitting and quilting. She loved classical music such as Mozart. She also enjoyed golfing, grocery shopping and shopping at Herberger's. She was especially proud of her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Arthur; sons: Ron (Jill), Brian; daughter, Debbie (Mark) Williamson ; grandchildren, Angie, Samuel, Michael, and MaiLinh Niemi; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two daughters.
Burial will be at the Waasa Cemetery in Embarrass.
