Miss Anna Mary Barber, sister of Miss Martha E. Barber, pastor of the Friends' Church, passed to her reward, Sunday, February 11, 1912, after a lingering illness. Miss Barber was born near Salem, Ohio, April 1, 1863, united with the church at the age of 13, soon after which the family removed to Adrain, Michigan, where the greater part of her life was spent. During the last 13 years of her life she has been associated with her sister, Miss Martha E. Barber, in ministerial work. On account of failing health she came to Alva some months ago, Thinking the change would be beneficial, but she was prepared for the final summonls when it came. She leaves two sisters, two brothers and many friends to mourn their loss. W. H. Bertram, pastor of the Friends Church at Cherokee, held funeral services here Tuesday, after which interment took place at the Friends' Cemetery, Stella, Miss Barber has the sympathy of many friends in her loss.
