Juan Jose Carrejo, 83, a resident of Rio Rancho, NM for the past 5 years, passed away on Friday, November 11, 2005 in Albuquerque, NM. Juan was born February 12, 1922 to Juan and Ramona (Castillo) Carrejo in Sand Flats, NM. Juan was a veteran of World War II and a resident of Datil, NM before moving to Rio Rancho. Juan was preceded in death by his brothers, Ernest Carrejo and Willie Carrejo; sisters, Toni Martin and Julia Armijo. Juan is survived by his wife of 59 years, Viola Gutierrez Carrejo of their home in Rio Rancho; sons, Ray Carrejo and his wife, Carol of Albuquerque; Ernest Carrejo of Albuquerque; and Damacio "Mitch" Carrejo and his wife, Karen of Socorro, NM; daughters, Ina Lucero and her husband, Pete of Rio Rancho, Vicky Mounyo and her husband, Leon of Socorro; brothers, Roy Carrejo of Socorro, Nestor Carrejo of Las Cruces, NM; sisters, Annie Jiron of Belen, NM, Lucy Armijo of Roswell, NM, Shella Jiron of T or C, NM, Theresa Saavedra of Albuquerque; and ten grandchildren. A Rosary was recited on Sunday, November 13, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at the San Miguel Catholic Church in Socorro. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, November 14, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Lemitar, NM with Father John C. Daniel as Celebrant. Burial will be in the Lemitar cemetery. Pallbearers are Ray Carrejo Jr., Kimberly Simkins, John Carrejo, Janine Luceo, Amanda Carrejo, Nina Carrejo, Matthew Carrejo, Kylene Carrejo, Leon John Mounyo, Kelsi Mounyo, Chad Simkins and Emily Carrejo.
