John Grandstaff Dies

John William Grandstaff, 76, of Curtisville, northwest of Elwood, died at St. Joseph's Medical Hosptal, Kokomo, Tuesday night following a weeks illness.

Rites will be held at the Clark Chapel here at 2 p.m. Thursday by the Rev. Clair Fiscus, pastor of the Church of God. Burial will be in the Curtisvile Cemetery.

Surviving are three sons, Harley and George at home and Henry, Windfall; a daughter, Mrs. Faye Heagy, Curtisville, one sister, Mrs. Alice Murdock, Cicero; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was born in Tipton Co., Feb 4, 1877, a son of John and Marcia Grandstaff and married Myrtle Poole in 1900. His wife is now dead. He was a retired employee of the G.I. Sellers & Sons Company and attended the Church of God.
