Mae R. Schoeberlein, 94, of Aurora, passed away Sunday, December 21 at her home. She was born November 4, 1909 in Aurora, the daughter of the late Matthew and Elizabeth (Joy) Hankes.
    Mrs. Schoeberlein was a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Aurora.
    She is survived by her daughter, Carol (Wally) Johnson of Aurora; her grandson, Chris (Kim) Johnson of Kalispell, Mont.; her two grandchildren, Christopher and Tyler Johnson, also of Kalispell, Mont; three sisters-in-law, Freda Schoeberlein, Lillie Hankes and Margie Huwe, all of Aurora; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
    She is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Schoeberlein (1997); her parents; and one brother, Walter P. Hankes.
    Visitation for Mrs. Schoeberlein will be held on Monday, December 29, 2003 from 10:00 AM till the hour of service at 11:00 at the Dieterle Memorial Home. Rev. Tom Sayre will officiate with interment in St. Pauls Lutheran Cemetery in Montgomery.
    In lieu of flowers the family is requesting contributions to St. Pauls Lutheran Church Parish Nursing, 555 E. Benton Street, Aurora, IL 60505.
