Born in Athens, she was the daughter of Joe Taylor and Mildred Aycock Taylor. She was a nurse at Quiet Oaks for 16 years.
Survivors in addition to her husband and parents include one son: Keith Smith of Madison County; daughters: Rebecca Smith of Crawford and Candace Smith of Lexington; brothers: David Taylor, Eddie Taylor, Wayne Taylor, Harris Taylor, Joey Taylor; sisters: Angela Holder, Lynn Looney and Pam Campbell and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at 1PM at Lord & Stephens Oglethorpe Chapel with Rev. Gene Browning officiating. Burial will be held at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery.
Lord & Stephens Oglethorpe is in charge of arrangements.
