ANEGAM VILLAGE - Jonas Joe Lewis, 58, of Anegam died Nov. 21, 2011, at home.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2:30 Friday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Mountain View Chapel in Casa Grande. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 8 p.m. Friday by the Rev. Ignatius DeGroot at St. Clare Catholic Mission, with a wake following. Burial will be Saturday morning n Anegam Cemetery.

Mr. Lewis was born on April 21, 1953, in San Xavier. He graduated from Phoenix Indian High School in 1972. He married his high school Sweetheart in 1980 at St. Clare Mission and worked at Lakeshore Mine for years.

He guided, counseled and nurtured seven godchildren. He loved his horses and was a cowboy by nature. He enjoyed taking care of livestock for neighbors in Anegam and was a ranch boss for many roundups.

He is survived by his wife, Delphina L. He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan B. and Catherine Lewis; his sisters; and a nephew.
