Rites Tomorrow For Mrs. Notion
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at the Mabscott
Methodist Church for Mrs. Annie Nolton, 67, of Oak Hill, who died
in a local hospital at 4:45 a.m. Saturday.
She had been ill for the past six months.
The body will remain at Calfee Funeral Home until 1 p.m. Monday
when it will be taken to the church to lie in state until the
funeral hour.
The Rev. A. F. Clendenin will officate, and burial will be in the
Calfee Cemetery at Mt. Tabor.
Mrs. Nolton was born at Northland, Pa., March 8, 1883, the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Tolbert, deceased. She had been a
resident of Oak Hill for the past three years, moving there from
Raleigh County where she lived tor 30 years.
She was a member of the Mabscott Methodist Church, and
the Golden Gate Rebecca Lodge No. 206.
Besides her husband, H. W. Nolton, she is survived by three sons,
Hobert, of Oak Hill, Charles, of Beckley, Raymond, of Layland;
two daughters, Mrs. Nellie Brooks, of Crab Orchard, and Mrs. Myrtle
Keener, of Dorothy; one brother. Charles Tolbert, of Cunard; two
sisters, Mrs. Lydia Butler, of Gatewood, and Mrs. Nellie White, of
Youngstown, O. Seventeen grandchildren also survive.
Active pallbearers will be: B. B. Chambers, Ronda King, L. N
Brackenrich, M. G. Harvey, E. E. Loflin, and J. B Kirk. Members
of the Rebekah Lodge 206 will be flowerbearers.
