Ned Roland Bergstresser
Mr. Bergstresser, 70, of 1011 Mount Vernon Ave., Huntingdon, died unexpectedly at 6:42 a.m. Thursday, May 23, 1985, in J. C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon.
Mr. Bergstresser retired as a brakeman from Pennsylvania Railroad on Sept. 1, 1975, after 35 years' service.
He was born May 21, 1915, in Three Springs, Huntingdon County, the son of Roland G. and Jennie W. (Wilson) Bergstresser, and Oct. 10, 1948, in Huntingdon, married Helen Foust.
Surviving are his wife, three children: Virginia Jessell of Huntingdon, Deborah Moore of Balitmore, Md., and Ned C. of Rochester, N. Y., and nine grandchildren.
Also surviving are three brothers and a sister: Harold W. of Tullahomas, Tenn.; Jack C. of Amarillo, Texas; Samuel E. of Holilidaysburg and Marian Moore of Saxton.
Mr. Bergstresser was a member of the St. James Lutheran Church, Huntingdon. He was also a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Tarinmen and served as a volunteer for Huntindon Meals on Wheels.
He attended the Three Springs Public Schools and was a 1932 graduate of Saltillo High School.
Friends will be received after 7 p.m. today and 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday in the John B. Brown Funeral Home, Huntingdon.
BERGSTRESSER-- Services for Ned. R. Bergstresser of Huntingdon will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the John B. Brown Funeral home, huntindgon, by the Rev. Harry E. Smyser. interment in Three sprngs Cemetery. Friends will be recieved after 7 p.m. today and 9 a.m. until time of services Saturday in the funeral home.
