Norman Marshall Burns Jr., age 76, of Clinton, NJ died Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at Hunterdon Care Center in Raritan Twp. NJ. Mr. Burns was born July 27, 1934 in Chester, Pa. the son of the late Norman and the late Elizabeth (nee Martin) Burns Sr.

He received a bachelor of science degree from the University of Delaware and was employed by Union Carbide in Bound Brook, NJ as a Chemical Engineer. Mr. Burns resided in Clinton, NJ for the past 14 years and previous to that, he lived in North Plainfield, NJ. He was a member of IEEE which is the world largest professional association for the advancement of technology. Norman was an avid gardener and also enjoyed stamp & coin collecting.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Jacqueline (nee Pecqueur) Burns, his son: Keith Burns & his wife, Beth, his daughter-in-law, Elisa Burns and his cherished grandchildren, Alexander, Daniel, Brielle, Nicole & Jennifer. He was pre-deceased by his son, Alan Burns in 2006.

Visiting hours will be Friday, October 29th from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ. There will be a Funeral Service on Saturday, October 30th at 10:00 am at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, and Clinton, NJ. The Interment will take place at the Evergreen Cemetery in Clinton, NJ.
