She was born in Sunnyvale, California, the only daughter among three boys. Her birth name was Gloria Josephine Marinello. She was a graduate of Business College and retired from General Dynamics after 30 years of service. She donated 15 years to volunteer work at Hospice.
She married Leon Swanner (about 1944) and had three (3) daughers, but that marriage ended in divorce (about 1954). Gloria is survived by her three daughters, M. Charlene Southcott of El Cajon, CA, Pamela J. Gross of Snohomish, WA and Karen Reese of Canyon Lake, Texas, seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She married Joe Alameda later in life (she was 73 years old) Her second husband, Joseph Alameda, preceded her in death in 2004.
Gloria lived her final years in the loving, caring environment of La Vida Real 11588 Via Rancho San Diego in El Cajon, CA.
