The family immigrated to Massachusetts in the 1860s. She was married 8 January 1874 at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Cambridge, Massachusetts, to John Bresnihan, as his second wife. Two children were born at Cambridge, then the family moved to Natick where three daughters were born. They lived on South Main Street Natick, and John Bresnihan worked in the shoe factories. Hanora Riley Bresnihan is buried with her brother Michael Riley and his family.
