Mr. Andrew Charles Alecks, 82, died Tuesday, March 23, 1999, at Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Augusta.
Graveside services will be at Bethany Cemetery with the Rev. Edward Fitzgerald officiating.
Mr. Alecks, a native of Carbondale, Pa., had retired as owner of Andy's Tack Shop after 37 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II, where he served as an artilleryman and combat engineer. He was a member of American Legion Post 26 and was chosen to ride horseback in the 1940 New York World's Fair Great American Jubilee Celebration. He was a member of St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church.
