AYERS, Lois Breeden, 88, of Roanoke, died Tuesday, July 9, 1996. She was a member of Greene Memorial United Methodist Church and was the organist for 43 years. Mrs. Ayers was a graduate of both Shenandoah and Otterbein Colleges, and taught piano for 63 years. She was Mother of the Year for Family Life in 1972, and held membership in the D.A.R., the American Guild of Organists, and the Roanoke Music Teachers Association. Mrs. Ayers was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest H. Ayers, and two brothers, Raymond L. Breeden and Maxwell E. Breeden. Surviving are daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn A. and Harry Victorine, Roanoke; sons and daughters-in-law, David E. and Nancy Ayers, Richmond, Ronald M. and Jodi Ayers, Roanoke; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Carroll E. and Winkie Breeden, Roanoke, Richard Jennings and Alice Breeden, New Milford, Conn.; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Louisa Breeden, Roanoke, and Mrs. Dorothy Breeden.
